What size leveling kit?

Hey all, I'm looking into getting a leveling kit for my 14 silverado. Just want to see what everyone's recommends for leveling height. I don't want it to come up higher than the rear. I'm thinking 2",2.5"? Thanks

I went 2.5" in front and a 2" block in the rear. This was perfect for me with the camper shell I run.

2in. is perfect, the 2 1/2in. makes it level with a tape measure but looks nose high to the eye. Most guys are installing a 1in. block to go with the 2 1/2in. kit if that tells you anything.

 

Having said all that I believe you can get a 2 1/2in. kit and just not install the top spacer, gives you options.

Just so the OP knows a 2in. rear block is actually only 1in. taller as the truck comes with a 1in. block from the factory so you are removing the stock block and installing the aftermarket for a 1in. rear lift.

Anymore info doobs like Stock wheels ? Anything else done to it ?

I hear a 2in should be just right ..

I don't have the z71 but do have 4x4 , I know that shouldn't make a difference right ?

Stock Goodyear tires and 20" rims. I can take a few pictures for you tomorrow when it is light out.

Thanks for the quick replies. Are the 2 inch blocks in the rear very expensive? I'm just looking to fill out the look of the truck. Got some new wheels with nitto g2 275/55/20 instead of my stock 18s.

A lot of guys are using the Rough Country 2.5" kit (it's what I used). It's only $149 and you can raise the front either 2" or 2.5" depending on what you want. It also comes with 2" blocks that you can install in the rear if you wish to raise it an additional 1".

I am all for not going higher then need be but having said that there are 100's of pages on leveling threads and zero problems out of the 2 1/2in. leveling kits, the 3 1/2 kits are destroying the front but 2 1/2in. is good to go but again will look nose high.

Please provide more details about Destroying the Front?

As I plan to purchase the 3.5 kit today. I hate how low these trucks sit.
