McGaughys 7-9" Lift + UCAs

Hey guys, been going some research and finally decided to lift my 14 Silverado 1500 more then the level kit I have on there now.

 

After doing some research the McGaughys 7-9 in kit seems to be my best bet, planning on setting it at the level 8in but wondering why this kit doesn't have replacement UCAs, the kit aint cheap, about $1700 but a good deal for the quality of the build, but I was wondering if anyone running this lift has some details about the UCAs

 

I know Zone makes a UCA kit for about $400, would it be worth it to buy those on top of the lift? Truck is mostly a pavement princess but does see some mild offroading from time to time

Fabtech makes a UCA kit too.. don't think you'll see much benefit on pavement. I chose not to and I dont regret it.

I have the fabtech 6". Rides factory.

New UCAS aren't necessary depending on the ratio of the lift amount compared to the size of the knuckles. Your kit, as well as most others on the market, use new knuckles to correct the UCA angle. So you'll be just fine with the stockers. I'll assume that 7" keeps flat angles, so even if you crank to 9" it will essentially be like running a 2-2.5" leveling kit.

SO..... I got my lift last summer. I was sent the incorrect spindles, had to have them next day aired and had to pay extra labor to have them swapped out. First set of lower strut bushings were junk within the first week of driving it. I was sent new bushings and had to pay the labor to swap them out. Second set of bushing are now junk. I called and they sent me 2 new struts with "updated" bushings. They showed up yesterday and today I was having them put in. Passenger went good, drivers side something internal was junk in the new strut I just received. SO now truck is sitting apart on hoist and have to wait until tomorrow AM for another strut to show up. Mcgaughys will not help me with ANY labor cost, even though they keep sending me JUNK!!!! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER, WILL NEVER BUT ANOTHER MCGAUGHYS PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUYERS BEWARE.
