cold weather knock over bumps

Recommended Posts

I live in Michigan where it is currently copy. Below 32 for several days. My truck makes a knocking noise over any small bump, when it is cold, behind the glovebox. I've replaced the shock and that did nothing. Any thoughts on where to look next? It has done this for two winters.

Thank you!

Anything possibly tipping? It sounds like something tipping back and forth right behind the glovebox. Ideas?

My first thing would be to take off the glovebox, then have someone drive around and listen to see if you can pinpoint it, and press things to see if the sound stops. You could also try tapping around to recreate the noise. My dash rattle was a lot easier to find with the trim off.
