front hole

Chevy 2015 2500 HD What is with the large hole in the front center of the truck? There is a cooling radiator completely unprotected and xposed to to every thing the truck may hit. We are farmers drive through corn field, woods and water all the time and I am sure this will not last long. I must build a protective cover. What is GM thinking? Any ideas?

You can always use an old POS farm truck and use the new one to hit the town every week or so !!!,
