Problems with lifted truck I bought

At work we have a 2010 f350 with a 12 inch lift and it actually bent the frame! And Its twisted where the traction bars are!

Ya be glad that you decided to take out the body lift since it looks hacked together. Plus now you have easy access to the exhaust so you can redo that lol.

 

This is the bad thing about buying 2nd hand. You don't know if there's any half ass fixes. Sometime after I got my 98 I had to replace the camshaft sensor which is in the distributor. Well once I took the screws out I heard what sounded like a piece of metal dropping and hitting metal. I looked and the bottom plate of the distributor was broke in half and they basically glued them together. I'm surprised I didn't have any hard starts before that. So because of that I took the sensor back and got a whole distributor.

For sure, it's a mess still, linkage screwed up, broken speedo cable, brake line work, fuel tank sending unit unhooked or broken, etc, etc. Next is to drop the cab, remount the radiator which is held on by bailing wire, install a fan shroud, rehook the linkage for the 4 barrel. Unfortunately, I can't put the other bed on or paint the frame until it gets warmer out Man that longbed weighed a ton. I wonder if anyone has ever done a weight/fuel savings of a flat bed vs a full steel longbed? Although I'll probably stick with the bed a friend is selling me...its in great shape. Thinking about using bedliner paint on the frame and underside of his bed. Another priority and extreme safety issue is it slips from park into reverse just for the heck of it, lol! Scary as crap. I hear that can only be a couple things though. Sure wish I had a garage
