Bilstein 5100 or 4200 ?

it seems for regular non lifted trucks the right Bilstein would be a 4200. However.. I have a 2in level installed.. and I want to keep my truck at the height it's at right now. I don't want to use shock to lift the front anymore that it's already lifted.

With that said... should I get the 5100 adjustable shocks and just leave them at the factory "No lift" preset? Or get the 4200?

Would the 4200 be long enough ( since I do have a 2in level up front)

I don't want to remove the level and use the 5100 shocks at full extension

.. some say the ride is much harsher, plus the level is already installed.

I would like to hear some thoughts on this...

Do you know if a front end alignment is needed with the 4200's only, no lift?

Thank you

Huh? You need an alignment no matter what.

I'm not aware of a bilstein 4200 shock. But replacing the shock without changing the height does not change camber, caster, or toe settings as long as you don't loosen the inboard bolts of the upper control arm. And there is no reason to loosen them for the coil over shock assembly removal and replacement.
