upgrading from 18 inch stock to 20 inch aftermarket wheels

I went from stock 18's and P rated tires to LT295/55/20 on aftermarket 20's. BIG difference. The least little bump is felt and very annoying. I wish I would of went with 18's.

I'd say the jump from P-rated tires to LT tires is as much to blame as anything. How much PSI are you running? Also, if you added a leveling kit at the same time, that will stiffen the ride as well.

Yeah definitely LT rated hurt ride. I'm running 38 front/35 rear. I've also had LT285/65/18 on 18" aftermarket wheels that rode better than current setup. There's no doubt those stock P rated tires ride great, but they puncture easy as well. I'll never run them again for my needs.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of P-rated tires on a 4x4 truck either. Your PSI sounds about right for a empty 1500. That's about all you can do. Some brands of tires just ride better than others.
