Adding factory remote start w/ blackbear tune

My truck has a black bear tune. I want to have remote start added and I have heard they have to flash the ecm. What would be the best way to handle this issue? I can put the factory tune back in the truck before I bring it, but when I get home and put my custom tune back on it will the remote start still work? Might be a dumb question but I really have no idea. Thanks in advance

Usually the BCM gets flashed, brake pedal position and maybe one other module but I can't think of it off the top of my head. I don't think the ECM is one of them last I recall. Wouldn't hurt to take it back to stock just in case and then reload your tune.

That's what I'm thinking too. My only concern is if I load my black bear tune afterward, will it interfere with the remote start?

I don't see why it would affect it. I do know that with the factory remote, if there is a check engine light, it will stop it from working, so as long as there is no light, it will work. Hopefully someone chimes in that has a tune.

No issues. Put to stock for them to install, and then reflash your tune after install.
