Here is a pic of the setting on the iPhone. It mutes the audio no matter what source and plays the nav speech.

There is no picture, however unless this setting somehow makes the NAV directions transfer to the HMI like a phone call it will not interupt the AM?FM?XM?CD

The pic is there now. And yes it does interrupt those sources.

Yep, that is the setting, I couldnt remember where it was myself, it's a great feature. First time i saw that "my phone" was calling my truck in the dash info screen creeped me out a little, but use to it now

The nav on my iPhone 6+ will interrupt FM/XM radio on my '15 Silverado. In fact, it works the same on my wife's '15 Tahoe as well. The radio sort of mutes itself, gives the instruction (like, "in one half mile, turn right"), and then unmutes the radio and keeps on playing.

 

Great for longer trips but really annoying to keep interrupting the music completely for a short trip or when you get to surface streets and have a lot of turns.
