Alright... so here is the build so far. I was going for something that not a lot of people had. So it has the rancho quick lift shocks, and a zone 1.5 body lift. The body lift came first which I am glad it did since it made getting to the top of the struts a LOT easier. Installing the body lift was a pain in the butt. I have never done a body lift so I just jumped into it. The instructions were horrible so it was basically like building legos without instructions. But I got it all together over the span of 3 days. I also did the bumper spacer mod so that I could clear a larger wheel.

Testing out how they look and what needs to get pulled back and trimmed

Installed the front part of the body lift and had to position of the truck differently in the garage. So I took a picture of the difference. Only the front has the body lift in this picture

Got everything with the body lift all squared away so now its a waiting game to get the shocks. We had a snow storm the day my shocks were suppose to get here so I had to wait another day. Picture is with the body lift completely installed.

SHOCKS ARE HERE. Probably the easiest part of the whole build... Highly recommend these shocks. They are nice because you can adjust the ride quality. Still have to see what the best number to run on is. Adds a nice level to the truck but still might end up adding a block in the rear.

And now we wait for the tires and the lug nuts to show up. Went with 285/55r20 since a lot of people (esp diesels) have been able to clear 20x12's with this tire. I also got new tpm sensors. Tires get here friday so I will upload more pictures then. I'm also working on a set of mud flaps that follows the wheel well.

Something like this but with a rubberish plastic compound that can bend.

What's the offset for the 20x12 wheels?

did you do the color matching yourself?

Sucks you gotta do the work in the cul-de-sac and Im guessing run to your garage everytime you need a new tool.

I see youre in Baltimore. I live down here in Stafford, VA. Youre one of the closest members to me haha

Its plastidip color matched. The color actually matches pretty close to the OEM. The plastidip is just a bite brighter than OEM. Didnt want to commit to painting for the cost and the fact that I always like to change things up. I like it though.

I have a garage but only 3/4 of the truck fits in it. So I do most of the work in there but I wanted to stand back and see what the wheels looked like so thats why I worked on it in the street.

WOW would have thought there would have been someone closer!

Did you use glossifier too or just the dip?

Just plastidip. If I were to do it again I would use the glossifier. I did use that on my wheels I plastidipped and I found you have to use a lot of it to look good and spray it on pretty thick.

Can't wait to see it with the tires u get...

Went with the cooper at3. Not a lot of people make a 285 tire... so it was either these or micky thompson.

Aren't 285s gonna be a bit stretched on x12s?

Anything is going to be stretched on a x12 really. It should work though. Ill have my stock 18's and ill end up just throwing some bigger tires on that latter down the road probably next winter.
