running light led 3rd brake light.

Does anybody know of someone or company that make these 3rd brake lights? They have 3 led that are running lights, separate to the brake lights. These leds are constantly on. I believe the raptor has these as oem. I may just have to make my own using the oem and drilling holes for leds and then sealing them up.

You could probably use some LED bolts in place of the bolts that hold the OEM housing in place. Wouldn't require you to drill or modify housing.

I didn't even think of that. I'll look into those, but still want a third led in the center, requiring to drill.

If you don't mind it being on the inside of the housing while the others are outside, you could get an extra individual LED and glue it to the top of a LED replacement bulb for your 3rd break light. That way no drilling becuase then you can just run the extra wire out of the housing (I don't think it's sealed up if I remember correctly). Just a random thought I had earlier when thinking of this.

This is a cool idea. Id like if they came out with a light that already did this.. would you just have to tun the three led light wires into the tail running lights then?

These might be too large and too bright to use with the 3rd brake light. I did find these however, 8mm leds which would require a small hole to be drilled out for them. I would have to tap into the tail lights to make them turn on. Though now that I'm thinking about it, running the wire will be the real tricky part.

the wiring wouldn't be as bad if you ran them just right into your third brake light

The biggest issue with the wiring is running them from the 3rd brake light down to the tail lights.

You may even be able to pull the headliner down and have some access to the wiring. If that's the case then you could just run them to the front of the cab (staying above the headliner) and just connecting to a 12V source that is on at night

good call on the maxximas being to big and maybe bright. I like these best though, black aluminum instead of polished or chrome or whatever. i might order a few extra and put them inside my bumper steps too, I dont know yet though!

Nothing short of pissing off everyone behind you and if those lights around your 3rd brake light are too bright, then people behind you likely won't be able to tell when your 3rd brake light activates
