I am thinking about buying a 2015 Sierra 1500 slt z71 crew cab.I got it down to $42k has someone bought one recently or does someone know if this is a good deal.

My goal when shopping was 20% off sticker. 42K can be good or bad, depending on what all options are installed.

Would need more info.... What additional options are installed, where you are located, etc..... That can make a difference which is why some people actual fly one way to a different location to pick up a new truck.

I paid $41,704 for mine which had a sticker price of $51,884. I'm in southern Ontario

2014 Crew, 5.3, 2LT options, Z71, True North Edition package and most of the other goodies

Check the website for Laura Buick GMC in Collinsville, IL, as their pricing sets the Sierra benchmark.

I got my 2015 SLT Crew Cab All Terrain for $40,000 plus tax and tags. MSRP was $51,900. That was I December 16th.

My dealer told me to get me in the door, he would do 20% off msrp. So I think you are close. I would say go into your dealer and say $41k and you have a deal.

The truck comes with the navigation screen. Preferred package(fog lamps, remote start, dual climate control), Bose radio, chrome side steps, everything has chrome on it. Stone blue which is a additional cost. It has the Z71 package which most trucks down here are just 4x4.l live in southern California.

Sounds like a good deal. Only question left to answer is..... Will this truck make you happy 2 years from now??

So is it 4WD or 2WD?

If 4WD, that's a decent deal. If it is 2WD, you can do a bit better.

What is the sticker price on the one you are looking at?

I found one with the options you have listed at a sticker of $49k, their price is $38k

I'm a dealer, my advice is to shop out the door prices... there are always fees, taxes, eco levies, and anything else that can be snuck in. Some dealers quote low because their fees are crazy high. If you compare with everything included, you have a fair comparison. I say this because I have lower fees than most, but still get the odd customer that just doesn't get it and if he's quoted a couple hundred bucks less someplace else, will go there only to pay it back to them in add ons anywyas... but will still feel he got a better deal there.

Sticker price is $51k.Where did you see the truck for $38k at? Here in California because of high taxes and dmv fees it adds a good amount to any truck in a different state.
