Headrest removal?

Does anyone know how to remove the headrests on a crew cab. The manual says they don't come out. I am trying to install seat covers, and they have to come off.

There is a small hole in the plastic base that you need to put something in to release the headrest, I used a small allen wrench.

The above is correct, its a bit tricky to do, I used a dental pick as I had to remove the rear seat head rest in my double cab for my son's car seat to fit.

Each headrest post needs a pin inserted kinda together - tricky-try a rocking action - I used a paper clip but was barely stiff enough - if you put too much tension on one post side released the other side will be too tight to release

Old post but I was just needing to do the same on my 2018 single cab and found this.  It still works and easy.  So......THANKS!
