Dconger74 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I have a noise it sounds like it is coming from the instrument cluster. Like a grinding noise. All of the gauges are working fine. Is this the infamous stepper motors getting ready to crap out?

It's like a grinding noise situated behind the instrument panel. Sounds like plastic gears grinding or something. I'm battling all my trucks noises this week. This is the last on my list. The first was replacing a clicking/grinding blend door actuator, which went very smoothly and cheaply($35). Anyway.. I don't have an answer, but I thought if we could get audio of what we're dealing with, maybe someone could help us both. 2006 Silverado LS, 4.8L V8, 60k miles
