2014 crew cab trade ?

I only purchased the truck because of the rebates.

I had a 14 volt which I loved but because of the ne w volt and all the new tech I jumped out before the 16 arrived.

I was offered $30,000 for my Z71 crew cab with 1200 miles.

Is that a good number?

Not to me.

Only 1200 miles? I'm guessing the original MSRP was at least $42k for an LT trim level, maybe $46k for an LTZ trim level? $30k seems really low you should get more than that for it.

I would shop around and see how many used 14s are on the market. there may be a lot with the issues many swapped em out once the 15s hit the market. With all the rebates I am sure a new 15 is only a few K more. I have seen several loaded 15s listed at 35k or less around here. (lts chevys that is)

You have to find out what it will cost you for the new vehicle first (without a trade - get your best price) next less what you get for your trade in to get the "true" value. Lets face it, I don't know anyone the should or pay sticker price "without a trade in vehicle". So everyone (w/o a trade in etc.) gets this certain amount savings off the sticker price. Most dealerships are looking for good trade in vehicles because their inventory is low around the CT area. The dealerships make better/more money selling second hand vehicles than they do selling new vehicles. You should do pretty good on your trade in if you play the dealerships correctly on a "new" Volt especially if you get one fully loaded that is lots (high end) of money.

My dealer gave me 35k plus GM gave me an additional 5k trade in assistance on my 14 LT 4x4 when they couldn't fix my vibration on it. The truck had 7k miles on it. I think your dealer's pulling a fast one on you. I bet they have someone lined up to buy your truck already and they'll make probably about 7-8k off u. I wouldn't do it...

they added some extra to my dep ..when i grabbed the 15 so all in all they paid the loan off on the 14... plus maybe 75-85 bucks extra..so in reality I got like 35 not31, still wasnt great :( but better than negative.
