Where is this bulletin saying that a clunk and erratic shift is normal? do you mean #PI1450: saying that if there is a clunk to replace the tranns?

There is also a tsb out talking about whine, which I just got call from my dealer (without complaining) and 2 hours into the shop they said they confirmed it and the parts were on order.

I'm not calling anyone a liar or saying your truck isn't broke, but I just don't believe that multiple techs and dealers say there isn't a problem when there really is. It isn't like these techs are secret gm spies that tell people there trucks are perfect when you bring it in and it is clunking driving down the road.

Dealers/techs actually make money fixing gm cars/trucks

^^^ There are actual real trolls that get paid to smear other brands on the internet since it will be there forever.

Also in reading and replying to posts on this forum and others, I have come to the conclusion that most people don't have any real problems, but have a lack of understanding or knowledge of the vehicle they are driving. I am pretty sure some of your complaints fit in this category from the sounds of it. I suggest you take your phone and record the incidents so you have proof to show.

Thanks guys-guess your trucks are OK? I doubt most negative posts come from stupid members or liars but anything is possible. Take a look at GM Document ID 4018558; #99-04-20-0021: Information on Driveline Clunk Noise- (Nov 18, 2014) revised to include 2015's until Trannys started blowing on the 8 speeds. Basically this document tells the dealer not to try to diagnose or repair reported clunks. Almost guarantees the dealer won't get paid. Also GM requires prior approval for most/all drivetrain repairs, even those with failure. I suppose that some dealers might push and get approval to proceed but GM gives them every excuse to take the easy way out and hand the customer this document.....I have two copies from my dealer.

You are assuming that because your truck has the issue all of them do. The fact is the issues you may have encountered are very rare. A TSB does not mean it is widespread. It is basically a way for the entire GM service system to have the knowledge to fix an issue should the same thing or something similar come up. And yes it could also be the dealers fault. There are dealers that don't know their head from the butt and can compund the problem. My dealer has no issue getting any real problem taken care of. So far the only problem I have had on my truck is the brake pads wearing out prematurely. That is NOT GM's fault. That is the pad makers fault. They replaced my entire front brake system under warranty. No questions asked.

I do not have a whiny clunky hard shifting transmission. I believe that GM makes the best automatic trans you can buy. You wanna see bad trasmissions, go look at FORD. Lol.

Ron, I wasn't talking about your issue or even the ops. Def wasn't saying you don't have an issue with you truck, thought my disclaimer in my post you quoted was clear on that. I googled the gm id you gave me and only came up with your posts on this site. I would like to read it if you can post it or link me.

My truck is def not fine, my truck is in the shop for the whine and will be getting fixed hopefully. I just find it odd that dealers don't want to fix peoples trucks/cars and only having my own experience with my gmc dealer treating me like a king to go by(or like I just spent 55k on a truck and will be buying more)

New Win 8 computer and having trouble uploading the document. I might try again later but if you PM me your email I'll send you a copy.

I noticed an error in my post-Google Bulletin 99-04-20-002I. The latest version is I not 1 so bulletins were 99-04-20-002H now it's 99-04-20-002I to include 2015's.
