oldscsc Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 They knew the system would loose its charge. The purpose of the dye is to make the leak visible to the shop upon your return. Now that the refrigerant (and the dye suspended in the refrigerant) has leaked out, the shop will inspect the system with a blacklight. The dye will glow under the blacklight, and the shop will be able to diagnose the leak from there.

DareDog Posted June 6, 2015 Author Posted June 6, 2015 No troll here. Just dealer said to check it but why did they tell me that when they can only check it. Called have appointment Wednesday for them to look for leak.
