Short Box Catback Exhaust on Standard Box?

I am ordering a Denali crew cab standard box with a 6.2l. Borla doesn't make their ATAK catback exhaust in that size, only in 6.2l crew cab short box.

 

I have been told in several places that the dimensions of the catback for the CC short are the exact same for CC standard, but I will just need about a 10" straight pipe extension from behind the cats to where the Borla system starts.

 

Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? I haven't had a chance to call Borla because of my time zone difference and they completely ignore my e-mails.

I believe another member did the same thing with a different exhaust brand. Couldn't imagine anything else is different except length

I can't imagine anything is different either. But before I drop the $1100 I would like to be sure lol.

Finally got an answer from Borla after more than a month of asking.

You are on the right track but I think the dimension is wrong. Never the less we are about to release an extension pipe that will be available for those who have the longer truck. Stay tuned it will be on our website soon.

I had a set of Borla Stingers on my 2002 Corvette Z06. I love to hear them sing.
