Is this a factory navigation add on accessory from GM?

It's listed under the 2015 accessories on Chevy's website. If it is actually a navigation add on, I wonder if it could work in 2014 models?

I'm pretty sure anything that will work in a 2014 1500 will work in a 2015.

Went to several sites that sell Chevy accessories. This quote is from ShopchevyParts.com. It is listed only in the 2015 section (not in 2015)...but says nothing about year exclusivity although we've been told the 2015 radio system is different than the 2014...

"This upgrade Navigation Kit converts the Factory MyLink radio with 8" Touch Screen (IO5) to a factory-spec MyLink navigation radio with 8" Touch Screen (IO6). This kit includes a navigation module ONLY and does NOT include a replacement display screen. Dealer programing required to enable navigation module."
