2003 Silverado

Looking to buy my first truck, found something that interests me and I just wanted to know what people think about it. It's a 2003 Silverado 1500. It has the 4.3 liter v6 2wd, just wanted to know if that is a good solid engine. Has 155x on it. Thanks for your time.

I had 2 blazer's with the 4.3 never had a problem. I had a 2002 Silverado with a 5.3 make sure you check the brake lines from under the drivers seat to the rear. They rot out. Had to do mine, my brothers and a friends. The knock sensors went on mine at 72,000 other then that best vehicle I've owned. Good luck!

I had a 98 with the 4.3 v6 and, while it would pull a trailer (20' bass boat, 17' bass boat, ATV, UTV, etc), it's not going to be a monster puller. If you can find a v8, I'd personally go for the 8 cylinder over the 6. No one has ever complained about not having enough power.

I would only be concerned about tranny if it is automatic with 155K, check the fluid for color and smell, and the brake lines if you are in the salt belt.
