2002 Virginia Int'l Auto Show

Went to the 2002 Virginia International Auto Show today and boy, was it a blast!

Got to sit in\check out some of the popular models for the 2002 Model Year.

My Favorites (in order of most favorite to least favorite), you hardcore GM guys might not think too much of my list. lol

Before I recieve flack let me state that these are based on first impressions and the vehicles were not in motion in my "seat-Time". lol

Trucks\SUVs:

1. Ford SuperDuty: Sorry GM, IMO, it was the most comfortable and "user friendly" interior, and it was HUGE.

2. Jeep Wrangler "X": Most fun I had sitting in a vehicle, love the way the 5spd shifter is set up.

3. Chevy Avalanche: The Driver's seat conformed to my body, almost as if it was telling me to "Go to the chevrolet Dealership and buy me!". lol

4. Nissan X-Terra: I felt Comfortable in it, Liked the backseat headroom\space.

5. GMC Sierra 2500HD: I liked it, it made me feel "big".lol

Cars: (I only sat in a handfulof cars in the show. My focus was on the trucks! )

1. Pontiac Trans-am: I REALLY liked this car. Clutch felt good, and so did the shifter. I almost teared up as we walked away from it cause I knew it would be the last time I see one of those in a showroom for a while.

2. Toyota MR2 Spyder: Wow! a mid-engined Sports-car, Liked it very well. Only draw-back is, you can't bring too much with you.

3. Subaru Forrester: Liked it, Car or SUV? you be the judge

Well, I made a return trip today, and there's some changes to my list.

Truck\SUV:

4th is now the trailblazer\Envoy which bumps the others below down a notch.

Sat some more in the HD and I liked it a bit more today so move it up to 3rd.

Other than that, everything else still stands.

Cars: (I sat in almost all of them, so there are too many changes so I have to redo the list).

1. Chevy Corvette ZO6: Mommy, can I please have 50k?

2. Pontiac Trans-am (Un changed)

3. Subaru WRX: That thing is BAAAAD as far as imports go. Been said to be able to whup a porsche.

4. Toyota MR2 SPyder: (Unchanged)

4. Subaru Forrester: (unchanged)

Sounds like a ton of fun. I do have to agree with you on the Ford SuperDuty, I love GMs, but I have sat in and driven a couple SuperDuties (we have a big one at work, very nice truck), and they are verrry spacious and usable inside and verrry big. I wish I had 50k to buy a Z06 too, but then again I would probably just get myself killed the first week I had it driving ??? Oh well. Glad you had fun at the show.
