Hi All,

As the title states my 4L60E is still slipping when shifting from 2-3 after a rebuild.

Some background:

I have an '04 GMC Yukon Denali AWD. My tranny started slipping from 2-3 maybe about 10K miles ago (I currently have 146K). I took it to my mechanic who took it to a transmission expert. The guy rebuilt my transmission only to have the problem still exist.

My mechanic said this was a computer issue, and he is going to reprogram it with his computer and make sure it is done correctly since the tranny is electronically controlled.

Is this a common problem? Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Does something need to be done after the physical rebuild to "re-program" the computer for the transmission?

What other factors could still be causing the 2-3 slipping? Something about purging clutches with software after a rebuild possibly?

Thank you all in advance.

Best,
