Where is the cheapest place to get the GM Borla kit?

I got the GM part number from ShopChevy.com and Google searched. Found mine at a GM dealer in Louisiana. Best price I could find and no shipping charges or sales tax.

Ok man a comment like that is gonna make people upset that have that kit.. please explain your experience. If there's an issue with this cat back exhaust system I'm sure that your bad experience can alert everyone..

Didn't mean to upset anyone, I have been in the custom exhaust industry for 40 years and know these kits are way overpriced, and, in my opinion, Borla and Corsa only gained widespread attention in the consumer exhaust industry for trucks and SUV's because of contracts with GM.

 

A custom built system not only looks and fits better, but allows selection of nearly all the performance mufflers to tailor the exhaust note to ones individual needs. Not only that but you can select tailpipe outlet positions and varying stainless tip designs so that your truck is fairly unique.

 

Shiny pipe on trucks won't be that way long, use 409 stainless, and a Magnaflow muffler of your choosing and save $500.00. Magnaflow has more usable case lengths and sizes than anyone so you can tune in the sound.

Just installed the GM Borla system (part #19303333 & black tips part #19303348) on my 2014 5.3. The primary reason for going with Borla has been explained above and previously, I don't want too loud (touring model is perfect for me) and I wanted Stainless 304 construction. I also like the valve / bypass of the GM version from Borla versus Borla's own version w/o the exhaust valve. I paid $1049 shipped on line + $150 for the tips. First thing I noticed is that they have changed the design of the exhaust valve / bypass. There is no longer a bypass pipe they now just go with a butterfly valve just like GM does. Second, the sound is sweet for an old man that doesn't need all of that noise on the highway at cruising speed. No noticeable drone at all so far.

 

Look guys it's pretty simple. If you don't want any drone at all you need the butterfly valve in the exhaust system. If you don't care about fuel economy and don't want the v4 function from factory, use anything you want for an exhaust you will be happy.

 

Fit and finish were top notch and fit like a glove. SS304 on everything so no corrosion. Mandrel bent tubing a must for performance. Sound: perfect for me! Black tips personal preference. Only thing I would change is a side exhaust exit on both sides like Borla offers on this model, otherwise I'm happy. Million mile warranty: priceless!

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
