2014 rear differential

Does the 2014 Silverado with the 4.3 and 5.3 have the same rear end. I have the 4.3 EcoTec WT2 trim with a G80 and 3.23 ratio. I am thinking about a re-gear but in my search it seems the 5.3 may be different. What technically is my diff called? Like say a GM 8.75" or such. Thanks and sorry if this has been discussed but I could not find it.

 

On a side note it is funny my truck is a EcoTec, My boat motor is a E-Tec and my wife drives a EcoBoost car. ECO must be in style LOL

No. 4.3 uses the 8.625" rear axle. 5.3 without max trailer package use a 9.5" axle. Max trailer 5.3 and all 6.2 use a 9.75" axle.

For some reason I was thinking the 6.2 trucks with the 3.42 gearing got the larger diff as well.

The 6.2 in general comes with the 9.75" axle
