Looking for a bed extender

Hello everyone, New here

 

I just picked up a 2015 1500 crew with a short bed. I am lloking for a bed extender for this short bed.

 

I really like the one made by AMP, but they tell me it does not fit the short bed.

 

Wondering if anyone has made one work or know of a company that makes one for this truck.

Yep. Got a gm one in my truck. It is not rectangular. The sides angle in. Just fyi if that does or doesn't work for you.

I don't think bed size matters, I think amp research is referring to the sides of the bed, standard vs sport like on some fords. I might be wrong, but the lund doesn't have a choice of bed size either.

I think the space is the same rear of the wheel wells on all three bed sizes. So that should not be a problem.

How are the bed extenders installed? Do they mount on the existing tailgate latch striker bolt or is there drilling involved? I'm particularly interested in the GM accessory one by Lund.

my gm extender is drilled in to the bedside and the lights have to be removed to install. very clean and secured that way.
