I have the 4.3 leveled with BL and running 285/75 17's mileage did drop but nowhere near 8. I'm running E-85 and mixed hwy/city was still 12.5 to 14 this past winter, on 87 I was still in the 18-19 area.

Can I see a picture of your truck. You can read gear pretty cheap cus our trucks use the same setups as previous Gen.

Updated pic of my truck. She's just level on 33s.

I have new gears plus a truetrac but I haven't had time to install them. Total on parts and tools I spent $700

To answer your question didn't not re gear but did have a factory tune done also took out the v4 mode.. put dual exhaust on .. they both helped with gas mileage get about 18 mpg .. pulls fine I'm sure it would be much better with gears.. thought about it several times..

Currently running 35x12.50x22 on my v6 with a 7.5 lift with a 3.42 gear with a Diablo tune. I get about 18 to19 hi ghway 14 to 15 city. I will be having 4.10 install next week hoping to see at least 2 mpg better and to pick up some off the power loss due to the 35's. May try a 4.56 any thoughts I found a chart but I think this may be overkill any thoughts on this. 94b166565c242befc310f34f25ca852b.jpg

I'm running 33s on 20x9 on a v6 2wd but I have a 3 inch level kit in front. No running at all.

I have the 4.3 as well. I am running 305/50/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers on a 20x10 XD Wheel. Not really a taller tire as much as wider. My gas mileage hasn't dropped too bad. I can get 19 to 20 on the highway. The big thing I noticed is it seems to downshift a lot more. Especially on the steeper inclines on the highway. What would be the best route to take to keep this from happening? Regearing or maybe just a tune to give it a little more power?

Currently in the waiting room getting 275/60/20 Duratracs installed right now with factory rims and no lift on the V6. Update on mileage I'm sure will end up somewhere...

To help with the downshift is better to re-gear. You won't regret it from what I've read. I'm doing the work on my truck along with a detroit truetrac, but I haven't had time to isntall it.

Appreciate it. I have started to call around to find a place to regear it. Now the question will be how much will it cost.

Necropost, sorry. Finally killed the Chevy shakes and am proud to post about my truck again LOL

2015 Silverado V6 Crew 4wd, RCX 7.5" lift, 35x12.5r20 Nitto EXOgrapplers on Grid Off-road Rims.

Say what they want about the 4.3.

I drove many stock Silverados during my time looking for a truck and loaners during my shake issues. Maybe I got a good one, but I would stand it against any of those on the line.

Had a 2002 Sonoma 4wd 4.3 and it wasn't this fast. The auto transmission leaves some to be desired, but shift points need help. People really don't understand how this motor performs.

However, I am honestly not aware of everything that the off-road company did before I bought it. When the warranty runs out I'll tear into it and regear both front and rear, custom tune, getting a nice set of coilovers to replace the RCX front spacers, full Moog front end, replacements of various RCX parts with custom fabbed. Especially the TRe extensions, they really seem cheesy. MagnaFlow exhaust 1-2out. K&N conical air filter, NGK iridium plugs, 54" light bar with RCX mounts....

Damnit man... Those are all just dreams for now...

Meanwhile, in the words of my great granddad...
