I'm running 32's right now 255/75/17's, tires will need replacing soon, thinking of trying out 33's on aftermarket wheels...

Anyone with the 4.3 V6 running non-stock wheel/tire sizes?

Pics would be nice too :)

Unless you spend a mint changing your rear gears, you will have very little power. And if you do, you will get 8 mpg city.

Seriously, not trying to be an ass, but if you want to do that buy another truck. You will be better off in several ways.

33's is about as much as I would suggest you do. And even then your fuel mileage will suffer depending on what tire you choose eg. AT or MT tire

That's a great looking truck but I didn't see where he or she speaks about performance really. But did say 15ish mpg on a road trip. If that's hwy travel then in town mileage must really suck. Each to their own.

Alright just read that entire thread and must say again the lifted V-6 is efn sharp. Can't be to much of a slug cause one pic showed towing a medium sized boat.

I will concede that I am ignorant on the power of these new V6's. a76b06d537d7cc40315479ba18ffa81a.jpgSo if a lifted look like this is wanted, I say go for it!!!

I have 35 12.50 r 20 and get 14.5 city and can get as much as 19.5 on highway if flat land ..and somewhere around 15 to 16 if a lot of hills. People who say 8 r just guessing .. trucks says 14.6 now and that's about 85% city use..

The new V6's make damn near as much power as all prior 5.3/5.7's did and I've seen those run around with 10" lifts and 37's. did they gear them... I'm sure they did but not to lift just cuz he has a V6 is ridiculous.

Right now with my 255/75/17's i'm averaging 22-24mpg on the highway..According to tirerack.com , the tires that came with my truck were 36lbs, current tires are 41lbs, didn't notice that much of a drop in mpg or power loss...

Not quite sure people are aware of the hp/tq numbers of the new 4.3 V6 in the 2014-2015 Silverados..They make just as much as the V8's in the 2013 Silverados...And they make even more power on E85 :driving:

The new V6 is a better motor than the two it replaced, the 4.3 vortec V6 & the 4.8 Vortec v8...

I have the 4.3 and running 33s (305-55-20) with a 3" level average on Highway doing the math dividing miles driven on trip till gas tops off I get 15.5. On a good day no wind I get 17. Lowest I gotten was 11 towing a 16ft trailer with roughly 5k lbs for 50 miles. I've towed over what is rated, sure is not recommended but the the truck handle it like a champ. This v6 ain't no pony.

I have a 2014 V6 with stock wheels and tires and a 2.5 RV leveling kit and front air dam removed (both mods are supposed to affect mpg) and I still get 20-25mpg highway and 17-19mpg city. I highly doubt 33's will make much of a difference but as someone else has stated it also depends on the tire. If you get a toyo MT that weighs 60+ lbs that may be a different story but that will happen no matter what size your motor is.
