Console switch banks swapout

I have the 6.0 motor in my Denali HD so the switches by the center console is less than what you would see if you had the diesel (e.g. exhaust braking). From an uplift perspective has anyone tried swapping out from the basic double-sized switches to the ones that offer more switches? This way I can preserve the factory look but use the other switches for aux lights, etc. Of course I would have to consider the wire harness behind the previous bank of switches.
