Chrome or Black

Recommended Posts

I am having a 2.5 leveling kit installed next week and I thought I knew what I wanted as far as wheels went - Chrome...however, the guy doing the install was going on and on about how good polished black wheels would look...now I am back at square one.

thoughts on Black vs. Chrome? My truck is a 2015 Ocean Blue Metallic and it has the Chrome honeycomb grill and bumper

If it matters, I am going to put some 285/70/17 or 295/70/17 on so there's going to be a lot of black rubber showing...that's why I'm leaning chrome.

Depends on what other accents you plan to keep or go with, but with a 17" I'd lean towards something shiney. LOL, so Chrome or Gloss Black, no flat black.

Hope that helps! HAHA

I'd vote black. I have a 2015 Sierra Stone Blue and I've put a lot of work into removing all of the chrome from the truck. Door handles, mirror caps, emblems/badges etc. The only pieces I have left are the rocker panel molding, and the window trim, and they'll be done very soon. I just feel that blue w/black accents goes together so much better than blue w/chrome and black accents.

I posted this in a thread similar to this one. Black Chrome, win/win.

Thanks.

Its the RC 2" level and then OEM Sierra 20x9 wheels with Cooper ATP 275/60/20 (33") tires. I also have 1.5" spacers on to push the wheels out.

I have the shiny black 18's of a midnight silverado on my Sierra. Wasn't sure I'd like them, but once I saw them mounted, loved them. Go gloss black, or black Chrome like rawyzf

Haven't taken any good pics that you can actually see the wheels in, dark truck, dark wheels, don't photograph well with an iPhone.
