Brakes leaking?

So I got a question in regards to my breaks. My brother seems to think they are leaking but I just figured it was some road grime but let me know what y'all think. Also if it is a leaking issue will the dealer cover to fix it? My truck currently has 42K on it so would it be covered under the powertrain warranty?

Needs an axle seal. Should be powertrain warranty. May end up needing parking brake shoes if they are soaked as well.

Has this been a common problem on this year?

It's not year specific really. It is somewhat common. There is a possibility that the vent tube may be plugged, and then the pressure needs some sort of escape, so it leaks out the seal.

I agree that you have an axle seal starting to seep a bit. Nothing on your wheel or tire, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. You should check your axle vent and make sure it is OK, which it probably is. Fairly simple fix that I believe should be covered. Did you check the level of your brake fluid?
