Flash! Bang! = New Windshield

So I was driving on Interstate 20 this past weekend. Cruising along at 78 MPH..Speed Limit is 75. Following a Chevy pulling a trailer that had two four wheelers on it. Just about the time I started to move to the passing lane to go around I see a bright flash and then an immediate crack, followed by a cracking of my windshield. Darn! Odd thing was that as I passed this guy his window was down, he kept looking at me as if he was guilty. I can't help but wonder if he tossed something out the window or if a bolt of nut flew off the trailer. I was not following to close or driving too fast. I had the windshield replaced this morning, and I failed to get pictures of it. Still wondering what that shiny object was that hit me though...

Marble. I have know people in the past especially while riding motorcycles lob marbles at cars that follow to close. I of course don't condone that but sounds feasible.

Wow, that pisses me off. My wife and family were in the vehicle with me. I was not following too close. I'll keep this in the back of my mind for future reference. Someone tossing objects at other vehicles might find bullets flying back at them.

Yeah I've seen all kinds of madness in my 39 years. I know for me I try to stay away from everyone. Also though it could have been a small rock or piece of metal dislodged from a tire. A million possibilities.

There was a story in the news some years back about a stretch of road where someone kept tossing a can of pop at oncoming semi trucks. Always the same road, always about the same time, always the same direction. The guy's consistency did him in, and the cops caught him.
