Dang, I think it would be hard to get used to hitting the brakes everytime I saw a saturn.

Haha...their going to gas saving cars, and out here the Henderson PD is going to an almost exclusive SUV force (mainly Tahoes, with some Expeditions), and a couple of Crown Vics for chases, though they have some of the pursuit-rated old-body style '99 Hoe's too. :thumb:

 

A Saturn for a police vehicle is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard...

They have a few of them here in Maryland that the police use as 'stealth vehicles' mostly out on the interstate.  On really busy travel weekends, everyonce in a while, I will someone pulled over by an 'unmarked' staturn with all kinds of concealed lights flashing

pretty tough to outrace those.    A vette running 95 and a saturn running what 45-50???    Badguys are 1 up on the cops there

 

Also around here the big new thing is dodge intrepeds (UGLY).  One dept is dumping the 5 new ones it bought cause they are so unreliable plus they had a big wreck which 4 were totalled (haha).  It was like a blues brothers scene I guess

Strongsville, a fairly good-sized suburb South of Cleveland has a good number of Impalas.  Thankfully our place hasn't jumped on that wagon(too small) despite having a chevy dealer within a 2 block walk down the street.

Sure, rub it in after I saw a female officer driving a Hoe last year when I was out.  Oh well, we've got a OBS GMC Yukon XL or Burb that will be a supervisor vehicle someday(they take forever to change cars over)...now if I could only work the charm to get to drive that beast.

The cops here are dumb, they try to use Crown Vics with 5 foot whips on the trunk as unmarked cars...you would have to be blind and stupid to not know that those are cop cars.
