A8 question

I am still looking at getting a 2015 Denali -sold something and just waiting for the money to use for the down payment.

I have discussed the 5.3 Vs 6.2 and it sounds like the A8 with the 6.2 helps keep the MPG not to far off the A6 equipped 5.3.

I also have a 2015 Corvette with an M7, but on the main Corvette site I go to there have been postings about some A8 problems in the Corvette. Primarily they are shifting problems that have required a software flash, some more than once.

I would like to go with the 6.2/ A8 Denali, but wondered if anyone has had the same problem with the truck A8?

Like most owners on this site, I am not pleased with the 8L90e in my truck. It definitely has some issues. Most people will tell you to get a custom tune which will correct the factory tuning issues.

The biggest thing I have noticed is that this transmission is tuned for MPGs, early shifts and lots of slip to make it more "comfortable". I have noticed if I use the Tow-Haul that it becomes more truck like but its too much unless your towing something pretty heavy.

 

There is a fine line and GM needs to find it, overall I would purchase it again.
