Fuse or resistors?

Just installed new LEDs for my tail lights( got 2 bulbs thinking that's all I need and when I got home I realized I needed 2 more lol) from DDM TUNING and got hyper flashing. I was curious which ones are you using to get rid of it or are you using something else? Load resistors seem pretty easy to install, cheap but I guess gets really hot? Fuses are like 30 dollars and easy to install. Let me know which ones you guys picked.

You need a resistor!

LED's draw less wattage than incandescent thus the flasher unit thinks the bulb is burnt out and increases the flash rate as a warning.

A resistor will increase the load on the circuit. A fuse does nothing to increase the load. It only serves as a device to protect a circuit from over loading.

I don't know what kind of flasher GM uses. If it is the same as cars have used forever you can replace it with an LED approved flasher from Grainger, part number 2FNE7.

If you want another route you can add a relay into the same wire as the LED. You do not use the relay to switch the LED you just run it across the coil, cheep resistor... But if GM uses an old school flasher just use the Grainger one. It is proven to work on LED's.

So I should be able to buy the vled resistor in 3 oms for my 2015 gmc and attach the rear turn signals since there are two blinkers with the resistor, ground it and be good to go or am I missing something.

Quick question. I have resistors for each side in the back. Which wire. There is one green two black on the one bulb and 2 green two black on the other blinker. Here are reference.

What are you tapping into? Looks like the wires I tapped into for my reverse lights

yeah I tapped into the green and black wires. it was pretty easy to install. just make sure you put the resistors away from anything plastic. just make sure you put the resistor on the wires that are coming from each led and not tapping into the same wires that you already put a resistor on.
