AFM Delete Parts List

Recommended Posts

I have a 2010 Yukon 5.3l that I need to replace lifters because it is knocking. Can somebody supply me with gm part numbers for all the parts I need? I know I will have to custom tune it but I search the Internet and found kits but they claim you have to change camshaft to. Somebody told me I don't have to change camshaft. So basically I need some part numbers and somebody's 2 cents.

Who is the bonehead "somebody" that told you the cam doesn't need to be changed?

If you want to delete the AFM, you will need at least :

Gaskets for your exhaust manifolds, heads, and water pump.

O-ring for your oil pick-up tube

ARP Headstuds 234-4317

ARP Harmonic Balancer Bolt

- 234-2503

16 LS7 Lifters 12499225

4 Lifter guides 12595365

4.8L Lifter Valley Covers 12598832

1/8” NPT Allen Plugs

8 O-rings

LS2 Timing Chain dampener 12588670

NON-AFM Cam. (Probably $400 or more depending on what you want to do, I would go performance cam)

While you're in there, might as well have a performance cam done. With that you'll also need stiffer valve springs, truion kit for your rocker arms, hardened pushrods, and a good tune after the fact....Going to cost a few $$$$ as well.

Does your engine have the VVT also?
