Hello. 03 6.0 NV4500 G80 3.73 regular cab drive-by-wire

What is this service reminder in the owner's manual?

Inspect Evaporative Control System. Check all fuel

and vapor lines and hoses for proper hook-up,

routing and condition. Check that the purge valve

works properly, if equipped. Replace as needed.

An Emission Control Service. (See footnote t.)

The footnote

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the

California Air Resources Board has determined that the

failure to perform this maintenance item will not nullify

the emission warranty or limit recall liability prior to

the completion of the vehicle's useful life. We, however,

urge that all recommended maintenance services be

performed at the indicated intervals and the

maintenance be recorded.

Ayone work with GM do this or has anyone thoroughly performed such a function? I would like to get the service manual book-set or have Chevrolet have a look around, but I try to do what I can by myself and it seems to be running along just fine!

Thanks,

Joseph

Condition check is visual and a no brainer, and I watched this "service done". The Only value is a visual inspection and your ABS and brake lines are more apt to fail. IF ANy of the listed items had an issue, you would have a check engine light and your truck would throw a code.

Note, I have seen the need for cleaning the front end of the Throttle area and drive by wire area for a stalling trouble..
