wkammerer Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I need to buy a textured black door handle for my rear passenger side door. Are all door handles the same or are the back ones any different from the front?
NitroDatsik Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 The only different one is the driver door. 2014 Silverado 2WT CC Summit White 4.3L V6 DROPKICK Edition IG: jorge_dropkick_rangel
amxguy1970 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Not true, I just replaced mine and after doing the first one I thought I had the wrong parts. Come to find out the front and back doors had different type/shaped retainer clips (the piece that unsnaps behind the actual handle and the screw holds it in). The fronts used a metal bracket and the screw came in at a different angle than the rears which were plastic. I have a crew cab if that matter but they were sightly different front to back (as well as the drivers door having the key hole). Tyler
Brad817 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Amxguy1970, yes Tyler is right. I changed out my textured door handles for painted ones last week and found this little deal out also. Thought they were all the same except for the drivers side.
2Speed Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I'd love a set of these sweet machined billet door handles, but $300 is a bit steep. I'm sure they are worth it, but that's a lot for door handles. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/store/product/21-silveradosierra-billet-door-handles-deep-ruby-metallic-paint-code-gce/ I do hate the feel of the OEM plastic ones, though.
gmtech117 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 But the actual handle part is all the same handle.
Stevens03 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 arrg.. I thew out a set of factory textured black handles because I never thought someone would want them.. lol
wkammerer Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 I need just one handle for my back passenger door, but I want to avoid buying a whole set if I can.
