New to GM-Trucks

Hello all I am from Northern Virginia, and at college studying Business Management.

 

I am looking at buying my first truck soon, just have to save up some more.

 

My brother is looking at a 1999 Silverado, and if he does not buy it I might go ahead. Here it is:

I am looking for some advice on what to look for when we go test drive the truck. I will have an engine diagnostics test done, compression test, and a basic inspection done at the Chevy dealer. Is there anything else that we should look at before one of us buys? Thanks in advance.

Check for rust on the frame and obviously body. Cab corners and rockers are a good one to make sure they're solid.. Check fluids for color or ware. Otherwise, pretty solid trucks.
