Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover - Any Regrets?

After looking at all types of Tonneu Covers, I'm thinking that the Tri-Fold type is best for me.

For those of you that have the Tri-Fold design, are you happy with it?

Do you wish you had gone with a different type?

With the 8 ft bed there is still usually plenty of room for taller items. With a short bed I probably would have gone with something else or at least the type that flips up against the rear of the cab.

I have a double cab with standard 6.6' bed.

I have a undercover flex tri fold and have no issues with it what soever

If you have a picture, please post it. I havn't decided on a brand yet, but thought the American and Tonno Pro looked nice, both of which are about $280-ish.

American and TonnoPro are basically the same cover. Lund now owns TonnoPro. I have had a TonoFold for three years on my 2013 Sierra and it has served me well. I did have a hinge break in the box when shipped (something hit the box) and the company sent me three hinges the next day. After three years I had a hinge break and I replaced it with one of the spares that I had then I contacted TonnoPro and they were going to send me another hinge and I mentioned that some of the stiching looked like it was starting to break. ( I think it might have happened while cleaning off snow) they asked for picture so I sent it to them and in two days I had a whole new cover sent to me free of charge. Lifetime warranty on frame and hinges and 10 year on vinyl. You can not beat their service. I just got a 2015 Sierra as I still have my replacement in the box for the 2013 so I sold it and ordered one for the new truck. For the money I don't think you can beat it. If you need the full bed open you just turn the front knobs to take off the whole top.

Right now there is a $50 rebate on the TonnoPro and also if you get it at Autoanything.com contact thru chat and ask for a 10% off discount ( the code they show will not work on TonnoPro) and they will set you up. Very nice to get it for $251.10 shipped free and then after the $50 rebate it comes to $201.10 total.

Not bad...

I'm happy with my Extang Solid Fold2. I prefer it over the one piece fiberglass I had on my previous truck for its usability.

After hearing about the Extang Solid Tri-Fold, and reading/watching reviews, I'm now sorta leaning that direction. The solids offer the added benefit of increased security for items in the bed.

I had a Tonnopro hardfold - if you're in/out of it a lot it's kind of a pain in the butt, the latches seem fragile
