Mylink iPhone/iPod problems

I love my truck but not the radio. Mylink is pretty slow to respond and sometimes has trouble with iPhone 5s and iPod classic. Does anyone have faster response shifting from media radio songs etc. would a new iPod touch fix the problems in this video where the songs are all over the place? Any help would be appreciated. https://vimeo.com/145513903

When I bought my '15 Denali, which in the end I ended up not accepting and "returned" after 3 days, I also had problems with my iPod Classic. The tracks would change, but the display would not update with the new track name. Very annoying. When I confronted my dealer with it, he told me he had the same problem with his personal vehicle. He did not hesitate to offer giving me a $200 check to go out and buy a newer device. He basically said that just because it's listed as a compatible device does not mean it's "fully" compatible. Pretty deceptive, to say the least.

I am hoping that with the '16 Intellilink, the problem is resolved. I don't expect it to be, though. Unfortunately, as far as these systems have come along, they still suck, in my humble opinion. I am very much looking forward to the added Android Auto compatibility update so I can use that, assuming it is what I hope it to be. I am hoping that as more systems offer the compatibility, the Android Auto ecosystem gets bigger and includes apps like Waze and Torque. We'll see...

You didn't indicate how you are attached. Are you using Blue tooth or a USB cable? I am using an iPod Touch connected by a USB cable in a 14 Sierra. The songs change faster than what you have shown in the video.

Where I have a problem is when I want to play an audiobook or a podcast. The link and the iPod seem to take a long while to figure out what I want. Once it is playing though, there is no problem with moving from chapter to chapter.

I have given up trying to use the Link to start the book because the 2014 version has no idea the audio books exist on the iPod. I can pause and restart with any problems even after leaving the car overnight.

My 160gb iPod classic is almost unusable in my 2015. Given up on it and use my phone mostly to stream Pandora. This is the first car I've had these problems with my iPod. It even worked better on the antiquated system in my 2012 CTS-V.

Thanks for all of the input. I am using iPhone 5s and or iPod classic via usb cable. I will probably just sell the iPhone n g et a new iPod touch. My wife has a '14Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and her touch screen stereo is bad azz compared to mine.
