New from Atlanta - WTB 2015 Sierra 3500HD

Retired and loving it. Collect mid-century Cadillacs 1956-1960. Ready to buy a truck and enclosed trailer. Drove Ford, Dodge and decided on a 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD Denali. Got more power than I need, but never believed in "underkill!"

 

Have been researching deals over the internet with cars.com and carguru.com. Year end prices seem to be coming down and trying to find the right vehicle at the best time. I can travel and drive home or have it transported to me so distance is not a deal killer if the price is right.

 

Seeing a few Denalis with MSRP in the mid/low $60k range selling for $9k or so off that price. I don't have a trade, so that simplifies things.

 

Wondering if the prices will drop as December 31 approaches? Of course inventory will get lower with fewer choices, mainly I want black, Denali, diesel, dually.

 

Meeting with an Atlanta dealer who seems eager to find me a truck through the Costco Auto Buying program. I am also a member of USAA that also has an auto buying program.

 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Found one! Bought this 2016 Denali in Alabama and drove it home in a thunderstorm so dense that we were down to 30mph on the expressway. Very happy! Great price and got the dealer to throw in a gooseneck hitch, floor mats and a set of mud flaps.

 

Dually, Diesel, Iridium with jet black interior. My new daily driver!
