Just put the Hypertech Programer on....

I had to take a chance on the Hypertech Programmer for my Duramax. Let me just say....SWEET! Man o man this diesel is alive. Has 3 settings 30 -50- 96...Of Course I have mine on the 96 hp setting. This truck has woke up.... I was going to buy it from Hypertech but they sell it for retail to the public. www.truckaddons.com has them for $307 delivered to your door. No Shipping. Model number for the 2001-03 Duramax has changed to #30021 but on there website they show the old number of #30013. The guy I delt with is named Chris and there number is 1-800-388-8637 ext 1697. Great guy....

Oh yea.. the 96hp setting makes another 163 lbs of tq also. According to Hypertech these numbers are at the wheels not the motor. Impressive!!!

At work we have an 03 with the Edge Juice Box installed and that is one fast truck on the 90hp setting. They sure are fun to drive with the extra power.

So, have you ordered a new set of rear tires to replace the ones you just turned to dust?

Not yet but it looks like I will be getting a new set faster than I thought I would. Man o man does this thing pull great and there is nothing to show that it has been changed.

I have a couple of questions for you guys. How do you adjust the 30-50-96 settings? Can you do it while driving?

Do they still allow you a pretty wide range of tire diameters to adjust the speedo?

Hey,

Nope you can not change stages while driving. You have to do this with the key on engine off and it takes a whole minute. On the tire size thing you have the ability to change from the stock 24" to the 38" tires and everything in between. I love this thing and I will have the exhaust upgrade in a couple of weeks. WOOO HOOO!
