Oem trailer brake controller ??

Looking for some help or if someone knows if it would work.

I have a 2008 1500 and my dad has a 2011. His truck came with the itbc. mine didn't, but I was gonna swap the parts on my truck for his. I'm not crazy about having an aftermarket one to bang my knee on. Other than the relay, trailer brake module, and dash switch, would it be a straight swap of parts, or would I have to have the pcm programmed for it, or will it even work? I figured there's gotta be someone that's done or tried it.

Not gonna work. Unless you swap the entire computer system and related components (multiple controllers, sensors, wiring, etc...)
