Finally decided on a muffler, one simple question remains

Well, I've finally decided I want to go with a Magnaflow 4x9x18 muffler for my truck since I like the sound (not too loud, but a nice rumble on start and acceleration) and it seems people have the least amount of trouble with drone from the Magnaflow. However, I was looking at the stock muffler and noticed that it has an offset (toward the driver side) in and a center out. My questions is this, do I need/have to match that with the new Magnaflow, or should it be center in and center our to give it a straight through shot? Any difference either way?

Ive always bought the same in/out offset as stock and would fit best.

What ever fits... are you planing keeping the exhaust from the muffler back?if so you would want as close to stock as possible.
