My 2000 Silverado 1500 will not engage the 4WD. The front axle actuator and transfer case motor are both functioning. I am not get a warning light on the dash. The push button indicator lights are all working just like they should, when I go back and forth between 2WD and 4WD you can hear the actuators moving. I had it on the lift and the front driveline turns when I shift it into 4WD, just the front wheels will not engage.

Then I'd say you need to go back into the front diff. If the actuator is working then there shouldn't be anything wrong. If the front driveshaft is indeed locked into at the transfer case then the front diff is the only other place you can be having a problem.

i think he said the axle is turning, that is at the output of the dif. input is drive shaft. but it is a bit confusing. are the axles turning or just the drive shaft from t-case to front diff. not possible to have axles turn whithout turning a tire unless cv joint has busted

so...if i hear you correctly then you have an issue with the front pumpkin
