Amber running lights

are you going to put ambers in or clear?

I was able finaly to get my DRL's turned off on my BOnnie this weekend and now I'm going to work on re-routing the wires for the DRL's to the park lights.  Before the DRL's were my headlights, and I wanted to add silverstars so I had to disable the headlights from running all the time so I didn't burn the bulbs out quicker.  I really like the amber look, it gives it that mean apearence......

Are these GM part numbers you guys are refering to or another manufacture?  Why the two part numbers?  Is one amber and the other clear or are they for left and right sides?  Thanks

Those are numbers used by most all bulb manufacturers.  I picked up a pair of Sylvania amber bulbs this week to replace my clear DRL's and they were labeled 3157NALL/4157NALL (long-life bulbs).  The owner's manual for my 99 says the replacement bulb is 3157KX (clear) and the turn/parking bulb is a 3157NA (amber)

One thing I did notice was there another Sylvania bulb package that had the same bayonet-style connectors as the 3157 but the amber coating was much darker than the 3157 I used.  That bulb was also a dual-filament type so it probably would have worked as well.  Don't remember the number, but the two packages sat side-by-side on the Sylvania display rack.
