Does the Max Trailering rear axle use full floating or c-clips setup?

I haven't been able to find out what type of setup the rear axles have on the Max Trailering package. I know the ring and pinion are larger but that's about all I can find. Does anyone have information on these axles?

The 9.76" is also used some setups without max tow.

 

All max tows are G80's.

To answer your question they are a C clip style axle shaft and not full floating. This 9.5/9.76" borrows heavily to the point of interchangeability with the outgoing 9.5" 14 bolt. The 9.76" is used behind any 6.2 powered truck ( max tow or not) and as well Max tow 5.3 trucks.
