2 hid kits neither work.

You need the error cancelers to make them work correctly. You can find some plug and play ones on ebay or wherever you bought your hid kit.

What kit did you buy? I have a ddm kit, with cancelers and the battery harness. I've installed about 5 of these with no problems.

Make sure the polarity isn't reversed. Sometimes the plugs are backwards. They are on DDM tuning kits. BTW I've used DDM's as they are local to me, without incident. I've probably had three of their kits and no problem with the exception of bulb burnouts over time, maybe three bulbs in 10 years. Best buy IMHO. Good luck.

So matching red to red isn't necessarily important? I've used HIDS since 2004 and never had any problems like this.

I'll try reversing polarity as soon as I have time, and I'll report back. Thanks for the help.

Something else I just thought of, I've only connected the left-side hid for testing because of the whole air box removal pita. Would both sides need to be connected for them to power up?

I ran into the same issue when I installed hid's on my 2015 sierra. Ive installed hid's on 20+ vehicles wothout any issues yet I installed them properly on my sierra and they didn't fire up. I looked it up and saw something about reversed polarity so I flipped the connector arround and they worked. Your kit may be different than mine, but the stock headlight connector, where it plugs into the ballast connection is where I flipped it around. Hope that helps!

Nah. My bet is they are reversed polarity.

Thanks guys, I hope that's all the problem is. If not, I'll probably buy a kit from DDM. This is my first H11 install and I've noticed the plug has a shroud-like cover that the 9006 does not. Has this connector been a problem for anybody?

One thing I don't see mentioned is the plugs. If you are trying to use the OEM plug and go to the 9006 ballast or relay plug you may have issues. In my case the OEM plug wasn't long enough to make contact with the retrofitsource plugs resulting in no power to the ballast. Luckily I've done my fair share of retrofits so I have some extra no brand 9006 plugs/pins laying around so I made some adapters. Using alligator clips and wires you can test to see if this is your issue. I'm betting it is.

I've seen H11 to 9006 adapters on ebay, was considering them. I may get a pair, they're pretty inexpensive.
