Red LED that matches GMC interior lights?

Here is a quick video I did, I figured it'd be easier than going back and forth with replies on this thread. Don't mind my dirty truck.

 

 

thank goodness! someone who might be able to help. You tapped into the "purple wire w/ a green stripe?" correct? You said it controls the ambient light sensor and associated lights (auto headlights I assume too?)

Well anyway, my question: the dome lights? I want to install the footwell lights but have them opperate on the same circut as the domes. I've been all over the internet and all I can find is: "its a grey wire in one of thoes pin blocks..."

 

before I ramble on any further, think you can help? (ps, hope you can understand what I'm trying to do here)

Awesome I may look into doing this. Did you use Krylon Sea Foam Spray Paint in Sea foam color to make the Chevy color led?
