Camping in a K5 or Jimmy

Used to have an 88 GMC Suburban, could comfortably sleep in the back. Thinking about picking up a K5 or Jimmy. Will the rear seat fold down or be removed to sleep in the back of a K5/Jimmy and if so how much room? Would need at least six feet length.

Anybody do this?

Thanks

What year of K5? How tall are you? :)

Most k5 seats don't fold down flat - they fold like an accordion and push back towards the backs of the passenger seats. If you're 5 feet tall or around there, then you'll probably sleep fine.

Jimmy - if its post 1990, then the back seat should fold down flat and flush with the floor. Probably have about 7 feet from tailgate to front passenger seats. Can sleep two, but not comfortable. I'm not a fan of Jimmys and S10s, though. I've had a couple. not much room to carry things on camping/fishing trips, the blind spots are pretty bad on them, and mid-90s up with the vortec are tight and hard to do even simple things on.

pre 90 the seat flips forward. definitely put the tail gate down. I propped pillows on thet tosse a mattress over it and called it gd. . The seat does remove easily though

K5 or Jimmy. The K5 was both the K5 Blazer and K5 Jimmy. I have an 89 K5 Jimmy. The K5 means it's full size. Those S10 midsize jobbers were S10 Blazers or GMC (Sonoma) Jimmys.
